My first 'online' experience was on an old 386 DOS machine, connecting via a 2400 baud modem to a Bulletin Board System on dial-up. It tied up the phone line for hours, much to my mother's chagrin and contributed to creating another caffeine-addicted nighthawk. Long before my introduction with BBSes, I had discovered text adventure games (i.e. Zork) so I fell in love with the idea of MUDs on a BBS that I frequented, years later. I'm not certain how close it was to the current incarnations of MUDs, but I loved the fact that I could go after trolls and rocs with other players, interacting with live human beings in a fantasy setting.

Then came university in 1993 and along with it came my very first internet account. It didn't take me long to discover MUSHes and become instantly hooked. Destroying trolls and rocs was one thing, but being able to interactively write stories with others was incredible to me. I've been a part of the MU* community ever since.

Around the same time I was building my resource MUSH, I got invited over to Myriad to try something new. I was well on the road to retiring from WoD MU*s and the one I had played on for three or more years closed, so I was looking for a new home for my pet character. Cris and Rowan gave her that home and I haven't left yet. Now, I enjoy roleplaying here when I can and I occasionally toss some new building projects at them when I get inspired. I feel I have been blessed during my years on Myriad, and am grateful to those who have shared in my characters' stories.
